Job summary

The Temporary Research Administration Assistant at University of Texas at Austin will support the Assistant Directors in advancing and managing externally funded sponsored projects. You will help prepare, submit, and administer proposals, agreements, and awards on a grant-driven environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating submissions, subawards, reporting, and lifecycle management to streamline compliance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with relevant experience accepted.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
• Strong multitasking, attention to detail and customer service mindset.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support submission of research proposals, subawards, and related agreements; route forms for review and approval.
• Assist with administration of research awards, including reporting requirements and financial/progress reporting.
• Coordinate grants and contracts lifecycle, enhancing compliance and operational processes.
• Provide flexible support for additional research administration tasks as needed.
• Contribute to the success of faculty research by ensuring efficient management of funding proposals and sponsored projects.
