Job summary

The Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk at the University of Texas at Austin seeks a Grants & Contracts Specialist to support pre- and post-award research administration. This role works on budgeting, sponsor communications, and proposal development with a focus on compliance and timely deliverables.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and several years of relevant experience; CRA certification is preferred and UT internal systems proficiency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience; experience in pre- and post- award research administration.
• Experience in higher education research administration is preferred.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor budgets for research projects; work with Principal Investigators on amendments and progress reports.
• Arrange travel for staff, consultants, and participants, including hotel, flight, vehicle, and conference reservations.
• Process payments, contracts and purchasing for staff, consultants, and participants of The Meadows Center.
• Update and maintain administrative spreadsheets, Box, and paper files.
• Work with research staff to prepare proposals for submission to prospective sponsoring agencies and organizations in accordance with university and sponsoring agency guidelines and deadlines.
• Other related duties as assigned.
