Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Central Finance is seeking a Grants and Contracts Analyst to support sponsored project reporting, financial analysis, and portfolio monitoring. The role provides professional level management for pre-award and post-award activities, including proposal preparation, budget development, accounting, invoicing, and compliance.

The analyst will work with PI and departmental staff to ensure timely, accurate grant administration, including complex award

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Two years of administrative/budgeting experience required.
• Knowledge of NIH/NSF/DOD/NASA guidelines helpful.
• Completion of the Research Administration Training Program is equivalent to two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review grant proposals, budgets, and related documentation.
• Monitor and report on sponsored project spend and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines and university policies.
• Support post-award activities including closeouts and invoicing.
• Provide data for audits and leadership reporting.
• Coordinate award setup and personnel assignments.
