BakerRipley is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to manage and reconcile the general ledger across multiple funding streams under federal, state, and local grants. The role focuses on accurate cost allocations, timely monthly closes, and robust internal controls to support audits and reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit or government grant accounting, with strong Excel and ERP skills.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required or preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in nonprofit, governmental, or grant-funded environments.
• Experience with fund accounting and multi‑fund reporting is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger for multiple funding streams with GAAP and Uniform Guidance.
• Prepare and post journal entries including accruals and adjustments.
• Conduct monthly close and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Support monthly contract billing and validation of programmatic data.
• Track expenditures, obligations, and accruals by funding source and cost classification.
• Ensure costs are allowable, allocable, and properly documented.
• Assist with financial analysis, forecasting, and spend‑down monitoring.
• Support audits and maintain documentation for audits and monitoring readiness.
