Job summary

1199seiu is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead the general ledger for assigned funds, ensure timely monthly closings, and prepare reports for auditors. The role also involves grant management and regulatory reporting support.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (MBA preferred), 5+ years GAAP experience, 3+ years in grants management, and supervisory experience. Proficiency in Excel; Oracle experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of accounting experience with strong GAAP knowledge.
• Three years of grants management experience; supervisory experience required.
• Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency; Oracle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledgers for assigned Funds and ensure timely monthly closings.
• Prepare reports and supporting documents for internal and external auditors.
• Monitor grants activity and oversee regulatory reporting as applicable.
• Supervise accounting staff and guide staff development and performance.
