Gateways Hospital & Mental Health Center seeks an Accountant - General Ledger to manage a broad range of accounting duties and maintain accurate financial records for assets, liabilities, and P&L. The role supports monthly closes and year-end activities within a healthcare nonprofit environment.

The incumbent will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and ensure GAAP compliance across departments and funding sources.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; equivalent combinations may be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years general accounting experience with at least 1 year general ledger work.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close processes.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries including recurring, accrual, prepaid, reclassification, allocation, and adjusting entries.
• Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile subledger activity (AP, AR, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Cash) with GL and coordinate resolutions.
• Review transactions for GAAP compliance and proper classifications across cost centers and funding sources.
• Support monthly and year-end close processes and analyze account balances and variances.
• Maintain accurate financial schedules and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
• Prepare analyses, schedules, and ad hoc reports for Finance leadership and audits.
• Assist with external audits, regulatory filings, and cost reports with supporting documentation.
