Qualifications

• Two college accounting courses completed.
• Two years of specialized accounting experience, or five years with a high school diploma.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Transcripts must be uploaded with the application.
• Knowledge of college/university accounting procedures including grant/payroll accounting.
• High proficiency with Excel.
• Must be detail oriented and able to work with little supervision.
• The role acts as grants accountant and prepares reports for state and federal agencies.

Responsibilities

• Act as the grants accountant and prepare reports for local, state, and federal agencies.
• Reconcile daily transactions into the accounting system and daily cash deposits.
• Prepare monthly payroll and grant revenue/expenditure accounting.
• Provide accounting assistance to departments involved with grants.
• Back up Payroll/Benefits accountant as needed.
• Process PO orders and prepare required banking/records.
• Assist auditors with grant reporting.
