General Mills is hiring an Elevator Technician at our Kansas City plant. The role starts at $25.62 per hour with progression after training; the plant operates 24/7 and shifts run 7 am–3 pm for the 1st shift with overtime possible during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of mechanical and/or technical experience in manufacturing or related industry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts and stand for extended periods; tolerate hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions.

Mansioni

• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE as required.
• Position railcars using the Shuttle Wagon and unload grain into the receiving pit.
• Assist with unloading trucks and other grain-receiving activities.
• Enter grain, truck, and railcar data into the Unified Grain System (UGS) and verify accuracy.
• Complete required paperwork, data entry, and other documentation.
• Perform sanitation throughout the grain elevator facility per the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
• Monitor equipment and perform routine maintenance checks on Shuttle Wagon and related gear.
• Handle minor repairs and communicate needs or generate work orders for bigger fixes.
• Provide coverage for the Spouter position when needed and assist in training new employees.
