Job summary

General Mills Operations, LLC in Kansas City is seeking an Elevator Technician to join our grain elevator team. The position supports railcar unloading, grain receiving, and equipment maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role offers a starting wage of 25.62 USD per hour, 8-hour shifts, overtime, weekends, nights and holidays as needed, and training with opportunities for progression within the Elevator department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical/technical experience in manufacturing.
• Must communicate in English and work in a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE.
• Position railcars and unload grain into the receiving pit.
• Assist with unloading trucks and grain-receiving activities.
• Enter grain, truck, and railcar information into UGS and verify accuracy.
• Complete data entry and required paperwork.
• Perform sanitation and routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• Monitor equipment and perform minor repairs within scope.
• Train new employees and provide coverage for Spouter when needed.
