Job summary

General Mills in Superior, WI is hiring for a General Labor role at our Grain Elevator. Starting pay is $26.41 per hour with 8- or 10-hour shift options depending on business needs.

The position focuses on supporting production packaging and processing operations, sanitation, and equipment startup/shutdown. As part of the manufacturing team, you will handle quality ingredients, operate powered industrial vehicles, and participate in HACCP documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• Must be able to qualify for TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) – paid by company.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to perform physical tasks for extended periods (standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting).
• Able to climb and/or work at heights using stairs, ladders, lifts, or platforms.
• Must wear PPE such as safety shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, hard hat, hair/beard net, gloves when required.
• Willing to follow grooming requirements for a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet conditions.
• Willingness to work around high-speed machinery.
• Ability to work with allergens present in food environment.

Responsibilities

• Support production packaging and processing operations, sanitation, and startup/shutdown of equipment.
• Operate in a food manufacturing facility with a focus on HACCP processes.
• Participate in startup, changeover, operation, and shutdown of operating equipment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase platform performance.
