Job summary

Bartlett in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a hands-on Grain Elevator Operator for the 3rd shift (11pm–7am), Monday through Friday with overtime as needed. You will handle grain receiving, storage, drying, blending and loading while maintaining safe facilities and equipment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to read/write in English, and the ability to pass a background check; lifting up to 50 lbs is required.

Location: Council Bluffs, IA

Compensation: $23.00/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 3 rd shift, 11pm to 7am, Monday thru Friday with overtime as needed, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What you’ll be doing:

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check
