Job summary

United Grain Corporation in North Dakota is seeking a Grain Elevator Assistant Manager I to coordinate day-to-day grain handling operations, supervise elevator staff, and support the Elevator Manager under limited supervision.

You will contribute to safe, efficient operations, oversee quality control, inventory, and maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety programs while delivering strong customer service to producers and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; a four-year degree is preferred.
• Leadership experience in a related field will be considered.
• 2–4 years of experience managing elevator equipment and operations preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience supervising and providing leadership to team members preferred.
• MS Office and grain software such as Agris and One Weigh knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day grain handling operations and supervise elevator employees.
• Maintain safety programs and enforce compliance.
• Provide courteous customer service to customers and producers.
• Oversee inventory control and maintain records.
• Coordinate with Merchandising and maintenance teams; monitor equipment and initiate repairs.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure preventative maintenance plans are followed.
