Job summary

General Mills in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is seeking a General Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. The role involves working on the production line, performing diverse tasks, and supporting sanitation and line cleanup according to GMP and PPE requirements.

The position requires flexibility for overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays in a 24/7 plant. Starting pay is $18.30 per hour with a $2.00 per hour shift differential on the 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of English or Spanish for safety instructions and team communication
• Physical capability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally, and perform standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting for extended periods
• Comfortable working at heights (up to 10 ft), around high‑speed machinery, and in hot or cold, fast-paced conditions
• Ability to work in an environment with common food allergens
• Ability to follow GMPs and PPE requirements and wear PPE such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hair/beard net, gloves, and masks when required
• Manufacturing or production experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Operate on a fast-paced production line performing bagging, stacking, counting, doughball placement, and boxing finished products
• Label boxes and bags accurately and participate in line rotation to cover various tasks
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment and proper care of equipment
• Execute shut-down procedures and thorough line clean-up; sanitation of production areas and equipment
• Adhere to GMPs and PPE rules; complete required safety and documentation steps
• Assist in training new employees and support cross‑training of team members
• Be flexible to support other areas of the plant as needed and demonstrate teamwork
