Job summary

The University of South Carolina’s Department of Psychology seeks an Associate Graduate Student Coordinator to provide administrative and student-services support for its doctoral programs. Under supervision, the role manages student hiring, advisement, tuition abatements, applications, progression and graduation clearance, and alumni tracking.

The position serves as a liaison between the department and the Graduate School and helps develop and administer program policies while ensuring

Qualifications

Strong math skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
Knowledge of MS Word operating systems and database management including Access and Excel.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative and student-services support for the Department of Psychology's doctoral programs.
Under supervision, manage student hiring and advisement, tuition abatements, prospective student applications, progression and graduation clearance documents, and alumni tracking.
Serve as a liaison between the department and the Graduate School and support the development and administration of program policies and procedures.
Help ensure the doctoral programs remain in compliance with APA, University, and Graduate School requirements.
