Job summary

The University of South Carolina seeks a Student Services Program Coordinator for the Psychology department in Columbia. The role supports doctoral programs through admissions, tuition abatements, applications, progression, and alumni tracking, ensuring compliance with APA and university policies.

Under supervision, you will liaise with the Graduate School, manage hiring and advisement of graduate students, and coordinate visiting prospective students and awards.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
• Experience with student services is preferred.
• Knowledge of USC operating systems and USC policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates admissions tracking and handles inquiries, webpages, open houses, and data compilation.
• Lead alumni relations activities and track alumni from the graduate program.
• Assist in hiring graduate students for TA and other roles and manage tuition abatements.
• Advises degree progression and maintains student files in DegreeWorks and related systems.
• Coordinate prospective student visits and inform about fees and fellowships.
• Prepare agendas, take minutes, and update department websites and newsletters.
