Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to join our Structural team in Fort Worth. You’ll support a licensed Civil Engineer, learn company standards, and become proficient in design software while performing calculations and preparing plans.

The role emphasizes collaboration, QA/QC procedures, and the pursuit of a Professional Engineering license with opportunities to advance within the Public Infrastructure team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or equivalent field of study (or ability to obtain within 6–12 months).
• Engineer-in-Training Certificate or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist project team in the design of public infrastructure work.
• Provide technical, day-to-day design support to the Project Engineer, including drafting support for plan production activities.
• Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations.
• Prepare drawings and visual aids.
• Follow internal QA/QC procedures, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Observe construction activities to learn construction methods and translate drawings into the constructed product.
• Coordinate with agency staff and internal support teams on designs, analysis, and issues.
