Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to join our Structural team in Fort Worth, TX. You will support a licensed Civil Engineer while learning the firm’s practices and local codes, becoming proficient in design software and engineering tasks.

You will work on plans and specifications, perform calculations, and assist with project management tasks as you pursue a Professional Engineering license. Start dates expected January 2026 or May/June 2027.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or equivalent.
EIT or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.

Responsibilities

Assist project team in design of public infrastructure work.
Provide technical, day-to-day design support to Project Engineer, including drafting for plan production activities.
Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations.
Prepare drawings and visual aids for designs.
Prepare design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, MicroStation, Open Roads, HEC RAS or related software.
Follow QA/QC procedures and engineering standards.
Observe construction activities to understand construction methods and translate drawings into the built product.
Coordinate with agency staff and internal teams on designs and issues.
