Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to join our Structural team in Fort Worth, TX. You will support a licensed Civil Engineer while learning the company’s methods and local codes, and contribute to public infrastructure projects from design to documentation.

This entry-level role emphasizes hands-on learning, QA/QC adherence, and collaboration with agency staff and internal teams as you progress toward licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent; ability to obtain licensure within 6–12 months.
• Engineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• Willingness to learn design software and local agency codes.

Responsibilities

• Assist project team in design of public infrastructure work.
• Provide technical, day-to-day design support to the Project Engineer, including drafting support for plan production activities.
• Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations.
• Prepare drawings and visual aids.
• Prepare exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, MicroStation, Open Roads, HEC RAS, or other related engineering software.
• Follow internal QA/QC procedures, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Observe construction activities and learn construction methods and translation of drawings to the constructed product.
• Coordinate with agency staff and internal support teams on designs, analysis, and issues.
• Develop calculations in Excel, reports and letters in Word, and presentations in PowerPoint.

Job description

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer to join our Structural team.

In this role, you are expected to work on a team providing support to a licensed Civil Engineer while learning the company’s standard practices and local agency codes. As part of our Public Infrastructure team, you will be dedicated to becoming proficient in Design Software, performing technical calculations, preparing plans and specifications, and assisting with other project management and engineering tasks. In pursuit of a Professional Engineering license, the applicant must be organized, self-motivated, and able to collaboratively solve complex issues on time and within budget.

Expected start date: January 2026 or May/June 2027

Job Requirements

• Assist project team in design of public infrastructure work
