Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Graduate Administrative Program Coordinator to support the Michener Center for Writers. This role administers the graduate degree program, maintains records, prepares reports, and serves as the primary front-desk liaison for students and visitors at the J.

Frank Dobie House. You will coordinate admissions, scheduling, and degree progress activities, while collaborating with staff across offices to ensure student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with at least three years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Administer and coordinate the graduate degree program; maintain records and prepare reports.
• Serve as front-facing representative; manage communications and daily operations.
• Support Admissions, recruitment, and orientation activities; assist with degree progress tracking.
• Maintain degree audits and advise students on enrollment and graduation requirements.
• Coordinate course scheduling, meetings, events, and other program activities.
• Assist with additional duties to ensure smooth operations of the Michener Center for Writers.
