Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin’s Department of Theatre and Dance seeks a Graduate Program Coordinator II to support multiple graduate programs including Dance, Directing, Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities, Live Design and Production, Performance as Public Practice, and Playwriting. The role reports to the Graduate Advisor and collaborates with faculty, staff, and students.

The position focuses on deadline management, admissions assistance, record-keeping, and coordinating with COFA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years of office and clerical work.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365.
• Experience working with college students in an administrative or advising capacity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison with the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (OGPS) and assist the Graduate Advisor with deadlines, petitions, fellowships, and committee meetings.
• Coordinate and track graduate admissions, applications, and inquiries; assist applicants through the process.
• Maintain electronic records, files, statistics, databases, and email lists; track award allocations and TA/AI/GRA assignments.
• Initiate hiring transactions for TA/AI/GRA employees and assist with Workday postings and onboarding.
• Collaborate with COFA and the Graduate Advisor to communicate graduate program needs and outcomes.
• Prepare letters and manage communications with accepted/rejected applicants; support recruitment activities and orientation planning.
