The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is seeking a Graduate Assistant to join the Student Rights and Responsibilities team in Edinburg, TX. The outreach coordinator will inform the community about the food pantry, address food insecurity, and support services and needs assessments across UTRGV campuses.

The position requires admission to a graduate program, good academic standing, and full-time enrollment per semester.

Competenze

• Must be admitted to a graduate degree program.
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Be registered full-time for the respective semester – nine (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester, nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester, or three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session.

• Developing tools and methods for collecting data such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires.
• Collecting and analyzing data to identify student trends and needs.
• Researching student opinions and marketing strategies and proposing adjustments to current strategies accordingly.
• Creating graphic representations of data and translating complex research into easily readable content for stakeholders and other departments.
• Preparing marketing proposals and presentations based on the needs of the food pantry.
• Measuring student satisfaction with products and services.
• Monitoring and managing the Food Pantry’s social media platforms, adjusting outreach tactics as needed.
• Prepares reports and analysis of cases to identify trends impacting students at the University.
• Design and prepare outreach activities that can proactively address risks to students.
