Job summary

WellSpan York Hospital is seeking newly graduated registered nurses to join the Nurse Residency Program on 7 South oncology telemetry. This full-time night shift (7pm–7am) requires every 3rd weekend and every other holiday, with sign-on bonus eligibility and weekend differential pay.

The Nurse Residency Program is a 12-month accredited program designed to support the transition from student to RN, with mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Diploma Program Required or Associates Degree Required or BSN Preferred
• No Previous RN experience Required
• Upcoming Graduate of RN program or Graduated within the last 12 months Required

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates direct care in accordance with patient and family-centered care and nursing process; acts as primary nurse for patients on the unit.
• Safely and independently administers prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions.
• Independently administers prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions based on assessment and plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes time based on patient condition and workload; identifies changes in patient status and acts accordingly.
• Documents patient response to interventions and progress; uses flow sheets and EMR for documentation.
