Job summary

WellSpan Health's York Hospital Nursing team invites newly graduated RNs to join the Nurse Residency Program. The role is based in 7 South, a 32-bed oncology telemetry unit serving adult patients with medical oncology needs and chemotherapy administration.

The residency supports transition from student to registered nurse. The program emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Diploma Program Required or Associates Degree Required or Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates direct care in accordance with nursing process and hospital standards.
• Safely administers prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions.
• Organizes and prioritizes tasks based on patient condition and workload.
• Communicates patient needs for safe handoffs during transitions of care.
• Documents patient responses and progress in EMR; monitors nursing indicators.
