Job summary

WellSpan York Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a 0.9 FTE role on a 23-bed telemetry unit. The position offers rotating day/night shifts, 0700-1900 and 1900-0700, with 4 nights minimum every 6 weeks and every 3rd weekend. Eligible for shift differential; Full-Time employment.

The nurse will provide patient- and family-centered care, coordinate with the care team, and ensure documentation and safety standards are met across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma Program Required or
• Associates Degree Required
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates direct care in accordance with patient and family-centered care, acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit.
• Safely and independently administers prescribed treatments, medications, and nursing interventions based on assessment and plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes time based on patient condition and workload; identifies changes in status and acts accordingly.
• Identifies and communicates individualized patient needs for safe handoffs during transitions of care; collaborates with patient/family and all disciplines.
• Documents patient responses to interventions and progress toward outcomes; uses EMR and flow sheets effectively.
• Promotes patient safety and quality through interdisciplinary collaboration and SDM (shared decision making).
• Begins to provide leadership for problem solving and goal formation; delegates tasks as needed.
