Job summary
TKDA, an employee-owned firm, is seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join the Mining Structural team. You will work with structural engineers to analyze, design and detail structures for mining and heavy industrial facilities, contributing to plans, calculations and construction details for steel, concrete and foundations.
You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design integrated plant and building systems and may assist with construction administration tasks.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor of Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
- Up to three years of progressive structural design experience.
- Certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT) upon completion of FE exam.
- Proficiency with design software including RISA 3D, Ram Structural System, MathCAD, MS Office, AutoCAD and Revit.
Responsibilities
- Assist with analysis, design and detailing of structural systems for mining and heavy industrial facilities.
- Contribute to development of plans, calculations, specifications and construction details for steel, concrete and foundation systems.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and civil teams to design integrated plant and building systems.
- Support construction administration activities such as submittal reviews and site observations.
