Job summary

TKDA is seeking a Graduate Design Engineer in the Mechanical Engineering field to join their Mining Mechanical team. You will work with engineers to develop plans, specifications, and detailed drawings for process piping and ventilation systems.

You will assist in creating PFDs and equipment layouts, and support construction administration tasks to ensure installations meet plans and specs. This hybrid role involves Duluth or Bloomington offices with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 2–5 years of progressive experience designing commercial/industrial mechanical systems.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to write specifications and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans, design specifications, and detailed drawings for process piping and industrial ventilation systems.
• Assist with creation of process flow diagrams and equipment layouts.
• Assist with construction administration responsibilities including interpreting plans, observing progress, and maintaining reports to ensure installation conforms with plans.
