Job summary

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking water/wastewater graduate civil engineers in its Austin, TX office.

New graduates graduating December 2026 or May 2027 are encouraged to apply for roles supporting pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process design, and construction. You will design under supervision, assist in plans and estimates, perform CAD drafting, conduct calculations, and help prepare regulatory documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering (Recent graduates are encouraged to apply)
• 0-3 years of experience in Water & Wastewater Utility projects and Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Design
• Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is preferred
• Desired experience with Civil 3D, ArcGIS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater
• Great communication skills and strong team-building abilities

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Support Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process, design, and construction
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water & Wastewater projects
• Perform drafting CAD work and basic calculations/analysis
• Assist in permit applications and regulatory documents
• Coordinate with surveyors, architects, and contractors
• Attend client and regulatory meetings

Water/Wastewater Graduate Civil Engineer

Halff is seeking New Graduates who will graduate in December 2026 or May 2027 for our Water & Wastewater Utilities team in our Austin, TX office. The position will be for a General Civil Engineer interested in Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process design and construction. What you will do:

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Support Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process, design, and construction
