Job summary

Halff is seeking New Graduates for a Graduate Civil Engineer in the Water & Wastewater Utility team in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on pipeline and facility modeling, process design, and construction within civil engineering disciplines.

Ideal candidates hold a civil or environmental engineering degree and have 0–4 years of related experience, with CAD tools like AutoCAD and Civil 3D beneficial. This is an excellent growth opportunity with potential ownership in the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering.
• 0–4 years of experience in Water / Wastewater Utility projects and Water / Wastewater Treatment Design.
• Experience with AutoCAD is preferred; Civil 3D, ArcGIS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater desired.
• Strong communication, relationship building, self-motivation and organization.

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Support Water / Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process design and construction.
• Assist in preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates.
• Perform drafting CAD work.
• Perform calculations and analyses for design projects.
• Assist in permit applications and regulatory documents.
• Coordinate with surveyors, architects, and contractors; attend client meetings.

Graduate Civil Engineer, Water / Wastewater

Halff is seeking New Graduates who will graduate in December 2026 or May 2027 for a Graduate Civil Engineer for our Water & Wastewater Utility team in our Fort Worth, TX office. The position will be for a General Civil Engineer interested in Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process design and construction. What You Will Do

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer


• Support Water / Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process, design, and construction


• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water / Wastewater projects


• Perform drafting CAD work


• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects


• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents


• Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors


• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering


• 0 – 4 years of experience in Water / Wastewater Utility projects and Water / Wastewater Treatment Design


• Experience with AutoCAD is preferred


• Desired experience with Civil 3D, ArcGIS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater
