Halff is seeking New Graduates who will graduate in December 2026 or May 2027 for our Water & Wastewater Utilities team in our Austin, TX office. The position will be for a General Civil Engineer interested in Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process design and construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
• 0–3 years of experience in Water & Wastewater Utility projects and Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Design.
• Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is preferred.
• Desired experience with Civil 3D, ArcGIS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater.
• Great communication skills, solid relationship and team-building abilities.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Support Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process design, and construction.
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water & Wastewater projects.
• Perform drafting CAD work.
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects.
• Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents.
• Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.
