Halff is seeking new graduates who will graduate in December 2026 or May 2027 for our Water & Wastewater Utilities team in our McAllen, TX office. The position is for a General Civil Engineer interested in water & wastewater utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process design and construction.

This role offers strong development with potential ownership as you grow with Halff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Dec 2025 or May 2026 graduates encouraged)
• 0–3 years of experience in water & wastewater projects and design
• Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD preferred
• Desirable Civil 3D, ArcGIS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater
• Excellent communication and team-building skills
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Design civil engineering projects under supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Support water & wastewater utility projects including modeling, planning, design, and construction
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Perform drafting CAD work
• Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
• Assist in permit applications and regulatory documents
• Coordinate with team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies

Water/Wastewater Graduate Civil Engineer

What You Will Do

• Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
• Support Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process, design, and construction
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water & Wastewater projects
• Perform drafting CAD work

What You Will Need
