Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Graduate Electrical Engineer to support engineering and design tasks under supervision. The role focuses on applying engineering principles to create design documents, wiring diagrams, and BOMs for substations and related electrical infrastructure.

You will perform calculations, learn software tools for grid design and protection coordination, and participate in site visits to gain practical experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is required; a power focus is preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain within one year of hire is required.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist project team to create design documents and drawings, including wiring diagrams and bills of materials, under supervision.
• Perform engineering calculations such as relay burden, load flow, and short circuit under supervision.
• Learn and apply software for ground grid design, relay coordination, transformer sizing, and studies under supervision.
• Contribute to meeting project schedules and learn engineering standards (NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, ANSI).
• Gain hands‑on experience at job sites through substation construction and design.
