Job summary

Dashiell, an operating unit of Quanta Services, is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to perform supervised engineering and design duties, focusing on electric infrastructure projects and substation design. The role emphasizes learning through direct supervision and hands-on site exposure.

Responsibilities include producing design documents, performing electrical calculations, and applying industry standards while gaining field experience and project schedule discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is required, a power focus is preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain EIT certificate within one year of date of hire is required.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience in the power field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with project team to perform tasks for design documents and drawings for a project, including creating wiring diagrams and bills of materials under direct supervision.
• Learn and apply engineering application software to complete tasks like ground grid design, relay coordination, transformer sizing, and load flow studies under direct supervision.
• Spend time at job sites to gain hands-on knowledge and training in substation construction and design.
