Responsibilities

• Support in development of comprehensive project estimates, including construction, fees, direct work, and other associated costs.
• Engage with vendors to review, validate, and challenge cost inputs.
• Utilize benchmark data from previous projects to inform and assess estimate accuracy
• Capital Planning Support
• Advise clients on capital planning strategies across large-scale portfolios.
• Provide insights to optimize investment decisions and long-term financial planning
• Procurement Strategy & Vendor Management
• Support procurement activities including vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and bid leveling
• Facilitate bid interviews and provide final recommendations for vendor selection
• Oversee the appointment process in alignment with client objectives
• Cost Reporting & Forecasting
• Establish and manage cost reporting schedules
• Present cost reports and forecasts to clients, ensuring transparency and accuracy
• Maintain a commercial risk register and lead periodic review meetings with project teams and vendors
• Cost Control & Change Management
• Assess payment applications and recommend contractor entitlements
• Review and evaluate change order requests, providing strategic recommendations to clients
• Apply dispute prevention and resolution procedures to manage payment requisitions and contractual issues
• Monitor and manage the end-to-end invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate payments
• Benchmarking & Performance Analysis
• Benchmark project performance against successful commissions to identify areas for improvement
• Manage all aspects of the financial close process, including post-contract audits and account close-outs
• Conduct post-contract reviews with clients to capture lessons learned
• Develop training materials and manuals based on project insights to support continuous improvement
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
