Job summary

Halff seeks new graduates who will graduate in December 2026 or May 2027 for a Graduate Civil Engineer position in our Tyler, TX office. You will assist in studies, design, and reviews for construction and mapping projects including airports, bridges, channels, dams, drainage systems, floodplains, and water/wastewater facilities.

You will work under the mentorship of Professional Engineers who are eager to help you grow, with a collaborative team culture that values communication, problem

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent.
• 0-3 years in Public Works or Land Development.
• Passed the FE exam or able to pass within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools.
• Experience with CAD design software (AutoCAD/Civil 3D).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Extremely detail-oriented and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a design team on public works and land/site development projects.
• Use design software to render and communicate study results and designs; plan and design related systems and improvements.
• Draft reports and present plans to audiences with varied backgrounds, translating engineering information clearly.
• Estimate materials, equipment, and labor to determine probable construction costs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
