Job summary

OHM Advisors in Kalamazoo seeks a Graduate Civil Engineer to join a collaborative team and contribute to civil projects across planning, design, and documentation. You’ll gain exposure to data collection, analyses, and design tasks under senior staff guidance.

The role emphasizes CAD proficiency (AutoCAD or MicroStation), strong communication, and teamwork. A related bachelor’s degree and internship/co-op experience are highly valued; EIT is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
• Experience working in AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the collection and analysis of data to support project development.
• Perform design calculations and investigative analyses to complete assigned tasks.
• Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documents.
• Use CAD software (AutoCAD or MicroStation) to develop design drawings.
• Review project plans and documentation for technical accuracy and conformance to standards.
• Help schedule and coordinate tasks to meet project timelines.
• Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to design reviews.
• Maintain organized project files and design documentation.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
