Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a Graduate Assistant to support student service programming within the Volunteerism and Service-Learning team. The position focuses on events, recognition, and resources, and helps relaunch GivePulse campus-wide for easier access to service opportunities.

You will work with a full-time staff member and student assistants to ensure successful programming, with flexibility for strengths and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and implementing service events or student-led programs.
• Professional demeanor and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team-based structure and independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Current graduate student in good standing at UT Austin.

Responsibilities

• Promote GivePulse usage across channels and build partnerships to amplify messaging.
• Lead a team of student assistants and provide training and support.
• Conduct GivePulse information sessions for community partners and campus users.
• Grow affiliate partners and assist in service-learning programs.
• Support living-learning communities and participate in program events and workshops.
• Provide logistical support for VSL programs, including room reservations and surveys.
• Attend LVN and Dean of Students meetings and support ongoing student initiatives.
• Assist with administrative tasks for Project Advance Austin and related programs.
