Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of job-related experience.
  • Experience with university student information and degree audit systems preferred.
  • Ability to interpret policies and resolve degree audit or course equivalency issues.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate DegreeWorks degree auditing to align scribe details with approved requirements.
  • Support End User Training and provide ongoing maintenance for student information systems.
  • Verify accuracy of audits, resolve course equivalencies, and address policy discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with advising staff and academic units to ensure data integrity and process improvements.
  • Provide curriculum validation and end-user support for DegreeWorks and SEP.

Advertised Job Summary

The Student Services Program Coordinator manages student educational planning and degree audit functions by maintaining curriculum data, validating academic records, and ensuring the accuracy of degree requirements within university systems. This position provides support to faculty, staff, advisors, and students by resolving degree audit and registration issues, interpreting academic policies, and assisting with curriculum and course exception processing. The coordinator monitors and analyzes student record data, identifies discrepancies, and collaborates with campus partners to implement solutions and process improvements. Additional responsibilities include supporting system functionality, training end users, and assisting with ongoing maintenance and enhancement of student information and educational planning systems.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with university student information systems and degree audit systems.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks with competing priority.

Job Duty

Coordinate the scribing academic program requirements in DegreeWorks’ Degree Auditing System by making necessary updates to align scribe detail with approved program requirements at the undergraduate, graduate, medical, law and pharmacy levels. Works with the Assistant Registrar for Academic Bulletins to ensure that scribe detail corresponds with published degree requirements.

Work with the Senior Associate Registrar to address scribing issues related to the Financial Aid “Course Program of Study” module which leverages DegreeWorks data to determine Title IV Financial Aid eligibility.
