Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a Surveying Intern to join our GPS team in Springfield, MO. You will work with an experienced Surveying Technician, learn construction layout, plan reading, and gain hands-on field experience on major projects.

This internship is ideal for someone studying Construction Management, with potential paths into full-time surveying roles and project management opportunities at ESS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with surveying and construction industry; willing to train the right candidate.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate surveying instruments.
• Calibrate sites for GPS rovers and GPS Machine Control.
• Troubleshoot GPS Machine Control.
• Perform construction layout from plans; record data.
• Provide work control lines and elevations for accurate installation.
• Create topographic and cross-section surveys as needed.
• Prepare documentation of surveying activities.
• Coordinate surveying with site personnel.
• Maintain safety mindset.
