Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. in O’Fallon, MO invites a Surveying Intern to join our GPS team. You will work with an experienced Surveying Technician on-site, learning plan reading, construction flow, and field experience, with hands-on training in surveying techniques and equipment.

The role offers exposure to real-world workflow and potential progression into full-time surveying roles; candidates pursuing Construction Management studies are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with the surveying and construction industry; willing to train the right candidate who meets our culture.
• At least two years of construction industry experience required.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Experience with surveying instruments and construction layout is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Set up, adjust, and operate surveying instruments.
• Calibrate sites for GPS rovers and GPS machine control.
• Troubleshoot GPS machine control.
• Perform construction layout on structures and pavements.
• Read and interpret engineering plans to establish lines and grades.
