Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a Surveying Intern to join the GPS team in Columbia, MO. You will work alongside a Surveying Technician to learn construction layout, plan reading, and field data collection on active projects.

This internship supports growth into full-time surveying roles, with exposure to field equipment and on-site safety practices within a 100% employee-owned firm. Candidates studying construction management are favored.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; willingness to train.
• Basic surveying knowledge and willingness to learn on-site.
• Experience with surveying tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate surveying instruments on site.
• Assist with GPS rover calibration and machine control.
• Read plans and apply construction layouts.
• Coordinate with jobsite personnel and document data.
