Job summary

gWorks seeks an Implementation Specialist to guide clients through onboarding of our cloud-based platform, from kickoff to handoff. You’ll configure modules, train users, and ensure smooth adoption of software across Utility Billing, Accounting, and more.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years in client onboarding, strong communication, and a proactive, collaborative mindset to help public sector clients unlock value from technology.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in client onboarding, implementation, or software adoption.
• Experience with SaaS platforms; municipal or GovTech background is a strong plus.
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot software solutions in accounting, payroll, or government workflows.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
• Track record of balancing responsibility, authority, and accountability.
• Self-starter with ownership and follow-through.
• Collaborative spirit and a passion for helping clients succeed.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding projects from kickoff to go-live.
• Guide clients through adopting modules including Utility Billing, Accounting, General Ledger, and Payroll.
• Be the main point of contact and trusted partner during onboarding.
• Configure software to align with best practices and client policies.
• Provide hands-on training and coaching to maximize feature utilization.
• Monitor progress, gather feedback, and analyze data to improve processes.
• Collaborate with Product, Client Success, and Support teams to drive improvements.
• Maintain clear documentation throughout onboarding.
