Job summary

GMRE seeks an experienced Program Manager to oversee high-visibility government programs, ensuring successful execution and customer satisfaction. The role demands strategic planning, leadership, and deep DoD contractual knowledge in a defense contracting setting.

You will manage SETA/AA&S contracts, coordinate with government clients, and lead cross-functional teams to meet scope, cost, schedule, and performance goals while fostering continuous improvement and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or engineering.
• Certifications with 10 years programmatic experience and 5 years DoD experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing large, complex programs, preferably as a government contractor or in the defense sector.
• Experience with U.S Department of Defense contractual requirements including FAR/DFARS.
• Proven experience with program management tools and methodologies (PMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma).
• Experience working with U.S. government agencies in defense/intelligence/federal civilian sectors.

Responsibilities

• Program Oversight: Lead and manage government A&A&S and SETA contracts, ensuring alignment with scope, cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
• Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact between government client and contractor team; facilitate cross-stakeholder collaboration.
• Budget and Financial Management: Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and profitability; allocate resources to meet goals.
• Risk Management: Identify, mitigate, and manage program risks to resolve issues timely.
• Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and quality metrics; report status to government clients and leadership.
• Contract Compliance: Ensure work complies with contractual requirements and regulations; manage modifications.
• Leadership and Team Development: Mentor project managers and staff; promote collaboration and accountability.
• Strategic Planning and Execution: Contribute to long-term plans and growth; support proposals.
• Customer Engagement: Build relationships with government clients and conduct reviews.
