Job summary

GMRE seeks an experienced Program Manager to oversee complex government programs under a contract framework. You will lead advisory and SETA efforts, manage budgets, and ensure compliance while coordinating with the government client and internal teams.

The role requires extensive government/defense program management experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills to drive successful contract execution and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or equivalent.
• 10 years of programmatic experience and 5 years DoD experience preferred.
• 5+ years managing large, complex programs, government contracting or defense sector.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS contracting requirements.
• Experience with PMP, Agile, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with U.S. government agencies in defense or related sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage government A&AS and SETA contracts aligned with scope, cost, schedule, and performance.
• Serve as primary government contractor contact; coordinate across stakeholders.
• Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and profitability; allocate resources.
• Identify and mitigate program risks; resolve issues promptly.
• Track KPIs and quality; report status to government clients and leadership.
• Ensure contract compliance and manage modifications as needed.
• Mentor project managers and staff; promote collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to long-term strategic planning and business growth; support proposals.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships; facilitate reviews and meetings.
