Job summary

Gauss Management Research & Engineering (GMRE Inc.) in Utah seeks a Subcontracts Manager to lead the full lifecycle of complex government subcontracts for DoD programs, from solicitation and negotiation through award, administration, and closeout.

The role requires extensive FAR/DFARS knowledge, cost and price analysis experience, and collaboration with program management, contracts, legal, finance, and supply chain to ensure compliance and performance. Relocation assistance may be offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of subcontract administration or related experience with federal government or defense programs.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government contracting regulations.
• Experience with cost analysis, price analysis, and negotiations.
• Experience supporting competitive source selections and supplier evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle management of complex subcontracts supporting federal and Department of Defense programs.
• Develop solicitation packages, requests for proposals, and source selection documentation.
• Conduct subcontract negotiations involving pricing, terms and conditions, schedules, and performance requirements.
• Administer cost-reimbursement, fixed-price, time-and-materials, and other subcontract types.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and customer requirements.
• Flow down contractual requirements and regulatory clauses to subcontractors.
• Evaluate proposals, perform price and cost analyses, and support cost realism assessments.
• Collaborate with program managers, contracts, legal, finance, and supply chain.
• Manage subcontract modifications, change orders, claims, disputes, and closeout.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, schedules, deliverables, and risk mitigation.
• Support proposal activities and supplier engagement.
