Qualifications

• Experience operating distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems (StarRocks, Trino, ClickHouse) at scale.
• Ability to tune queries and optimize production performance.
• Experience owning data pipeline reliability and incident response with AI tooling.
• Independent ownership mindset with on-call responsibility and rapid ramp-up.

Responsibilities

• You will own performance tuning on the StarRocks serving layer using AI-assisted profiling to fix slow queries before incidents.
• You will build and harden data pipelines feeding government cloud investigations with AI-assisted workflows.
• You will reduce single-point-of-failure risk by becoming the second engineer able to operate and troubleshoot the serving layer.
• You will use AI-assisted debugging and log analysis to triage production issues in a regulated environment.
