Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in New York is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help State and Local Government & Higher Education accelerate cloud adoption and architect scalable solutions.

You will own implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, and develop deep expertise across AWS services and Generative AI offerings, working with customers and partners to drive successful deployments. The role requires strong technical leadership, security focus, and willingness to travel up

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions for cloud deployments.
• Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers (e.g., Dev Days or Immersion Days).
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS Solutions Architect community.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, service teams and support.
• Lead architectural design and implementation investigations for customer projects.
