Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to accelerate our State and Local Government & Higher Education business within the WW Public Sector. You will own technical engagements, define architectures, respond to RFPs, and collaborate with partners to drive cloud adoption.

In this role, you’ll lead architectural discussions, mentor teams, and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications. Expect travel up to 30% and a dynamic, inclusive culture in New York.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to customers while working with the sales and business development teams.
• Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community.
• Educate customers on AWS value proposition and participate in deep architectural discussions for cloud deployment.
