Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a highly motivated Solutions Architect to accelerate growth in the World Wide Public Sector. The role focuses on designing cloud architectures, engaging with customers, and providing security guidance across applications and infrastructure.

You will own technical engagements, respond to RFPs, and lead efforts to share best practices within the AWS solution architect community. Travel up to 30% is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
• Define implementation architectures and respond to RFPs.
• Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and security as it relates to customer applications.
• Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community.
