Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate the growing public sector business. You will own the technical engagement and define architectures for cloud solutions across higher education and academic medical centers.

Work with customers, systems integrators, and providers to drive implementation success, respond to RFPs, and share best practices. Travel up to 30% and be part of a world-class sales and technical team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 4+ years of technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
• Defining implementation architectures and responding to RFPs.
• Develop a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
• Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community.
