Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI team member to join as a Pre-Sales architect focused on government agencies. You will help state and local governments understand Claude’s value, design and eval architectures, and guide deployments across the tech stack.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering to drive customer success from discovery through deployment, leveraging deep technical expertise and clear communication with executives and technical teams alike.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in technical customer-facing roles (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer)
• Experience with US federal, state, or local agencies
• Strong ability to translate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating with enterprise systems
• Familiar with Python and common LLM frameworks/tools

Responsibilities

• Partner with account executives to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Serve as primary technical advisor through Claude adoption, coordinating across teams
• Support customers using Claude Code, Claude API, and Claude for Enterprise
• Create and deliver technical content for engineers and executives
• Guide architecture decisions and integrate Claude into customers' stacks
• Help customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude performance
• Identify common integration patterns and feed insights back to product/engineering
• Travel frequently to customer sites for workshops and deep dives
• Maintain knowledge of latest LLM developments and implementation patterns
